Saudi-Bangladesh Investment Summit explores new avenues for bilateral business

Economic Reporter: The Saudi-Bangladesh Investment Summit 2026 has highlighted fresh opportunities to strengthen trade, investment and long-term business cooperation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, bringing together around 350 participants in Dhaka.

Organised by Saudi Business Consultant (SBC), the summit was held at Radisson Blu Water Garden Dhaka on October 13, focusing on Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, investment licensing, business establishment procedures and potential investment opportunities for Bangladeshi entrepreneurs.

The event explored investment prospects across a wide range of sectors, including real estate, healthcare, tourism, food and agriculture, information technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and trading.

The summit provided Bangladeshi entrepreneurs and investors with an opportunity to learn about Saudi Arabia’s business environment, market-entry requirements and potential areas for investment. It also aimed to facilitate professional networking and develop long-term partnerships between businesses in the two countries.

Prominent participants included Professor Mokhtar Ahmed of National International University, Inara Amin, founder and chairman of Lifespring Consultancy Limited, and Dr Ahmed Abdullah Zakir, chairman of Hajj Foundation Education Board, alongside other Bangladeshi professionals.

Saudi participants included King Saud University professors Dr Yousuf Abdullah M. Bin Sarran and Dr Mohsen Qazi, as well as Dr Abdullah Al-Muhaiz, CEO of Oncotech Consultancy.

Discussions at the summit emphasised the importance of understanding Saudi Arabia’s business regulations, verifying market opportunities and selecting reliable business partners before making investment decisions.

Participants also had the opportunity to explore the Saudi investment climate, assess expansion prospects and establish connections with relevant professionals. Organisers expressed hope that the initiative would strengthen business communication and mutual cooperation between entrepreneurs from the two countries.

Access to accurate information and practical guidance on the Saudi market can help Bangladeshi businesses make informed investment decisions, the organisers noted. They also expressed optimism that similar initiatives would encourage stronger commercial ties and create opportunities for new partnerships in the future.

The discussions further highlighted the importance of careful planning, maintaining service quality and complying with applicable laws and regulations when entering international markets.

Saudi Business Consultant provides advisory and support services to entrepreneurs and investors interested in establishing businesses in Saudi Arabia, including assistance with investment licensing, company formation and business setup procedures.

The summit comes as businesses continue to explore opportunities to expand their international reach and develop new commercial partnerships. By connecting entrepreneurs with market information and professional networks, such initiatives can help lay the groundwork for more sustainable economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
