15 Students of Madrasatul Manar Receive Hifz Awards, Award Ceremony and Annual Prize Distribution Held for Students Completing Hifz in Aftabnagar

Dhaka, November 7, 2026 (Saturday): An award ceremony and annual prize distribution programme for students who have completed Hifz of the Holy Quran was held at Madrasatul Manar in Aftabnagar, the capital, under the initiative of Madrasatul Manar, operated by the Bangladesh Quran Education Society. At the event, 15 students who successfully completed the memorization of the Holy Quran were presented with special honors and Hifz Awards. Among the award recipients, 13 were boys and two were girls.

The programme was attended by Maulana Abdus Shahid Nasim, Honorable President of the Bangladesh Quran Education Society, as the Chief Guest. Brigadier Abdul Hakim Aziz was present as the Special Guest. In addition, distinguished Islamic scholars, religious leaders, educators, guardians, and other prominent personalities from across the country attended the event.

In their speeches, the invited Islamic scholars highlighted the significance and honor of memorizing the Holy Quran, the importance of following its teachings and principles, and the need to nurture the new generation in the light of the Quran. The speakers stated that completing Hifz is undoubtedly an extraordinary achievement and a great blessing. However, alongside memorizing the Quran, every Hafiz has a responsibility to implement its teachings, values, and guidance in their daily lives and maintain a lifelong connection with the Holy Quran.

In his address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of expanding Quranic education and highlighted the role of institutions like Madrasatul Manar in developing a qualified, morally upright, and ideal generation. The Special Guest and other speakers also praised the contributions of teachers and parents to the students` remarkable achievements and encouraged the students to uphold the teachings and values of the Holy Quran throughout their lives.

At one stage of the programme, special Hifz Awards were presented to all 15 students who had completed memorizing the Holy Quran. Students who achieved outstanding results in the annual examinations were also awarded prizes.

It is worth mentioning that Madrasatul Manar has separate educational arrangements for boys and girls. Considering the needs and convenience of students, the institution offers three types of educational services: residential, non-residential, and day-care facilities. The institution also provides education in both Arabic and English versions. These arrangements play an important role in developing students` religious knowledge, language proficiency, and preparedness for modern education.

The Madrasatul Manar authorities stated that the institution is committed to spreading Quranic education, ensuring quality Islamic education, and nurturing a qualified and exemplary generation guided by the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. The event was organized to recognize students` talents, abilities, and achievements and to inspire them to maintain a lifelong relationship with the Holy Quran.

The programme concluded in a joyful and festive atmosphere.
