Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in different places of eight divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls in places over the country.

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions; in many places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna & Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls in places over the country, said a met forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9 am on Friday.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across northern part of Bangladesh. One of it`s associated troughs extends up to North Bay.

Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay.
