Kamrul Hasan: A 117-member district committee of Zia Parishad has been announced in Manikganj.
On this occasion, a workers’ meeting was held on Friday (October 24) afternoon at the auditorium of Government Debendra College.
The meeting was presided over by acting president of Zia Parishad Sadequl Islam Pinu, while the chief guest was Afroza Khanam Rita, member of the BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council and Convener of Manikganj District BNP.
The keynote address was delivered by the organization’s acting chairman Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Latif.
Conducted by Shamsur Rahman Dolonchampa, district organizer of Zia Parishad, the event was also attended by Professor Dr. Md. Emtaz Hossain, Secretary General of Zia Parishad; A. F. M. Nurtaz Alam Bahar PP, member of the District BNP Convening Committee; Professor Abul Kalam Azad and Professor Abdullahil Masud, Joint Secretaries General of Zia Parishad; Agriculturist Monearul Islam Enam; Engineer Ruhul Alam; Ghulam Kibria Said, President of the District Krishak Dal; Abdus Salam Badol, General Secretary of the same; District BNP leaders Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Habu and Asaduzzaman Khan Dolon; Mazaharul Islam Khan Payel, central member of JASAS; Tuhinur Rahman Tuhin, Member Secretary of the District Jubo Dal; Advocate Jinnah Khan, Convener of the District Swechchhasebak Dal; Abdul Khalek Shubho, President of the District Chhatra Dal; and Sirajur Rahman Khan Sojib, its General Secretary—along with other senior leaders of BNP and its associate bodies.
Speakers said that Zia Parishad has been working as a bearer of the nation’s democratic values, free thought, and development progress. They called upon everyone to work in unity to further strengthen the organization at the district level.
They also expressed hope that the newly formed Manikganj District Committee of Zia Parishad will work together to implement the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and ensure BNP’s victory in the upcoming national election in order to build the dream of a prosperous “Golden Bangladesh.”
At the end of the event, Khademul Islam Pinu was declared President and Tanim Islam Rasel as General Secretary of the 117-member Zia Parishad Manikganj District Committee.
