World Teachers` Day

Education is the backbone of the nation and teachers are the backbone of education. But teachers are seen facing various problems. Quality of education cannot be achieved if teachers are in trouble. Therefore teaching profession of overall safety is the need of the hour.

Although teaching is considered a great profession, it is actually a very neglected profession. Teachers do not have the same security as others. For this reason, the talented do not want to come to this profession.

The proper development of education is the responsibility of teachers. And for this teachers should be skilled and qualified. Apart from this, attention should be paid to the shortage of skilled and qualified teachers.

Various initiatives should be taken to prevent teacher shortage. The kind of education we want, the kind of teachers we need. So first of all we have to understand what we want to teach the future generation.

To ensure the safety of the teaching profession, the overall lack of security in this profession must be eliminated. It is time to ensure the safety of our profession. One should think whether the teachers are satisfied with the salary and other facilities. Their pay criteria should be standardized considering life and livelihood. It can be seen that although teaching is an important profession for the country, talented people do not want to join this profession. Like other professions, there is a lack of overall security in this profession. However, more talented people were supposed to come in this profession.

Education sector is the best investment sector nowadays. There is no substitute for investment in education for sustainable development or long-lasting development. Investment in education can give 10 times return in next 20 years. As a result, the interest of talented people in teaching profession should be increased by increasing the investment in education.

Note, that since 1995, Warld Teachers` Day has been celebrating worldwide on October 5 every year.  401 member organizations of the Warld International play an important role in celebrating the day every year. The day sets a theme for the occasion which raises public awareness. Teachers` Day is celebrated in more than 100 countries of the world.
