Youth dies after falling from building in Ctg

A young man died after falling from building while working in Chattogram`s Jamalkhan area on Monday.

The dead was Rajib Das, 25, son of Manoranjan Das, hailed from Dharmapur village under Satkania upazila in the district.

He died on the spot after falling into a canal from the 7th floor of a building called `Equity Millennium` in the afternoon.

Kotwali Police Station Sub-Inspector Salim Mia said the demolition of a building called Equity Millennium was underway. Rajib was removing an AC hanging with a rope outside the building. Suddenly, he fell into a canal as the rope detached from the building.


He ws rescued and taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, the SI added.
