Toll collection resumes on Elevated Expressway
  Date : 10-09-2024

Toll collection on the Dhaka Elevated Expressway resumed at around 3PM on Sunday.

However, the entry ramps at Banani and Mohakhali, as well as the exit ramp at FDC (Karwan Bazar), will be closed.

An official of Dhaka Elevated Expressway Company Limited said they have resumed formal operation of expressway by starting toll collection from vehicles at Airport ramp from 3pm.

He said that two damaged toll booths, which are temporarily closed for renovation, will reopen once the work is completed.

Earlier, two toll plazas in Mohakhali and Banani were set ablaze during the violence of July 18 and 19 centering the quota reform Movement. The damage forced the closure of the entire expressway.
