Titas officials, employees attack on Petrobangla

Some officials and employees of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company staged demonstration and made vandalism in Petrobangla head office on Tuesday morning.

They were staging demonstration there for an hour protesting the appointment of new managing director at Titas.

A group of officials and employees made vandalism in the head office of Petrobangla at Karwan Bazar in the capital. After staging there demonstration for an hour, they left the place.

It was learnt that the contractual appointment of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company managing director engineer Harun-or-Rashid Mollah was cancelled on Monday (September 9). And Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) managing director Shahnewaz Parvez has been appointed as new MD of Titas.

Shahnewaz Parvez was also served as GM in Petrobangla.

The protesting officers and employees demand that the MD should be appointed from among the officers of Titus.
