3-day-old child dies due to wrong treatment in Thakurgaon!

A three-day-old child allegedly died due to incorrect treatment at Thakurgaon General Hospital on Monday evening.

Family members of the child claimed that the child died just minutes after an injection was pushed the child`s hand.


The child’s father, Sabbari Hossain, a resident of Fakir Para village in Thakurgaon city, said, "The child was admitted to the hospital as per the doctor`s advice on Sunday (September 15). On Monday evening, a nurse administered an injection through a cannula as the child`s health condition had worsened. A few minutes later, my child died due to the injection."

The child`s father demanded in this incident.

Dr. Rokibul Alam, a resident medical officer at the hospital, confirmed that the child died in the hospital.

"We will take necessary steps after conducting a departmental investigation, he added."
