Two college students killed while riding a motorcycle in Ulipur

Ulipur (Kurigram) Correspondent : Two college students were killed in a road accident while riding a motorcycle in Ulipur, Kurigram. The incident took place on Sunday (March 9) afternoon in the Nirashirpathar area of ??the Kurigram-Chilmari road. The accident occurred when a motorcycle and a tractor collided head-on.
According to eyewitnesses, a tractor was going from Ulipur to Chilmari, while two youths were coming from Chilmari to Ulipur on a motorcycle. On the way, a tractor and a motorcycle collided head-on at Nirashirpathar in Tabakpur Union of the upazila. A student named Sourav Mia (19), who was on the motorcycle, was killed on the spot. Plabon Ahmed (19), the motorcycle driver, who was seriously injured in the incident, died on the way to the Upazila Health Complex. The deceased Plabon is the son of Bakiyat Ulya of Dhenkiaram area of ??Pandul union in the upazila, and Sourav is the son of Bakkar Mia of Khamar Dhenkiaram area of ??the same union. It is learnt that both the deceased were HSC candidates of Kurigram Collectorate School and College. The driver fled with the tractor after the accident. Later, after receiving information, the police recovered the two bodies and brought them to the police station.
Irin Akhter, a doctor from the emergency department of the Upazila Health Complex, said that a person named Plabon Ahmed died before being taken to the hospital.
Zillur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ulipur police station, said that after receiving information, the two bodies were recovered and brought to the police station. Action will be taken if the families of the deceased file a complaint with the police station.
