Law enforcers fully prepared to ensure polls security: Jahangir
  Date : 15-06-2025

Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Saturday said law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to ensure security during the national election, whenever the government decides to hold it.

He made the remarks while visiting the RAB-1 headquarters in Uttara on Saturday morning (June 14).

The adviser also said that any Bangladeshi citizens currently in India should return to the country through legal and systematic channels. “It is inhumane to abandon them in forests or by lakes,” he noted.

He further stated that Indian nationals residing illegally in Bangladesh will also be repatriated to India through proper legal procedures.
