Online Report : A day-long program has been organised at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital on Tuesday (August 5), marking the first anniversary of the July uprising.
As the programme is knocking the door, there have already been set up a stage, installed sound boxes and lighting systems.
Meanwhile, security has been strengthened near the venue and surrounding areas.
The event includes cultural performances, drone shows and declaration reading. Musical performances by various artist groups start at 11AM. Chief Advisor Prof Muhammad Yunus will read the July Declaration at the South Plaza of the National Parliament at 5PM, which will be broadcast live on Bangladesh Television.

High-capacity CCTV cameras and intelligence surveillance have been set up there. Tejgaon Division deputy police commissioner Ibne Mizan and RAB-2 commander additional DIG Khalidul Haque Hawlader said that a sufficient number of police and RAB members in uniform and plain clothes have been deployed.
