Pakistan High Commission Dhaka marks Independence Day with the spirit of Marka-e- Haq

Diplomatic Correspondent: A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Pakistan High Commission, Dhaka on Thursday morning to celebrate the 78th Independence Day Anniversary of Pakistan. Pakistan’s High Commissioner (Designate) to Bangladesh, Mr. Imran Haider hoisted the national flag to the tune of the national anthem.  
The ceremony was well attended by members of the Pakistani community in Bangladesh, Pakistani students, members of local media, academia, think thanks and staff of the High Commission. 
Special messages from the President, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read out on the occasion.
In their messages, the leadership congratulated the nation on the occasion of the Independence Day and paid tributes to Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and leaders of the Pakistan Movement. They lauded the armed forces and martyrs for their role in the recent victory in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos against the Indian aggression and said that the triumph enhanced the significance of freedom, restored national pride, reaffirmed the Two-Nation Theory, and underscored Pakistan’s resolve to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The leadership also reiterated unwavering support for Kashmiri brothers and sisters engaged in their just struggle for self-determination in IIOJK. 
High Commissioner Imran Haider felicitated the Pakistani community in Bangladesh and highlighted the day’s significance. He paid rich tributes to forefathers’ struggle for a sovereign homeland. He termed the success of Operation Marka-e-Haq a major strategic milestone, reaffirming Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard sovereignty and regional stability through national unity and the swift action of its armed forces. The High Commissioner underscored Pakistan’s unwavering diplomatic, moral and political support for brothers and sisters of IIOJK in their just struggle for self-determination.
