Bangladesh national football team`s head coach Javier Cabrera said his boys have the mentality and ambition to achieve the full three points from the crucial match against Hong Kong.
Bangladesh will face Hong Kong China in their crucial Group C match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers scheduled to be held at National Stadium under the floodlights on Thursday.
"The match against Hong Kong is very crucial and vital for us and his boys are fully prepared to fight in the whole ninety minutes in the match. The boys have the mentality and also have the ambition to achieve the full three points from the important match," said Cabrera at a pre-match press conference held at the National Stadium conference room on Wednesday.
He said they need to learn from the last match against Singapore and not to repeat the same mistakes against Hong Kong China.
"There was a lot of expectation for everyone in the last match against Singapore... we did not get any points shaved despite having very good moments in the match. We really need to learn from that match and not to repeat the same mistakes against Hong Kong," he said further.
The Spanish-born Bangladesh head coach said preparation has been very good. `We have been training almost for ten days and preparing for a big challenge ... a very important match for us ... We feel very convinced that we can achieve something good on Thursday`s match ... We are very excited and expecting a full house in the stadium.`
Replying to a question, Cabrera said the level of the Hong Kong team is similar to Singapore. The only difference between the two teams is that the two teams have different identities and styles. and different playing styles.
Replying to a question, the head coach said his side still has the chance to achieve something good from the remaining three group matches, and he is quite content with the present squad.
Jamal said the overall preparation of the team is good, and his boys are excited for Thursday`s match.
The Bangladesh captain said they started very well in the last match against Singapore but could not keep the tempo eventually. He emphasised playing a full ninety minutes against Hong to get a result.
Hong Kong China team head coach Ashley Westwood said his boys have done good preparation, and he is very happy and expecting good performance from his boys against Bangladesh.
He said Bangladesh is a good side, and it would not be easy for them to deal with the Bangladesh team, as they have some quality players like Hamza but his boys would make every possible effort to make a good start in the match against the home side.
