Unity is Essential to Build Public Consensus for the Victory of the Paddy Sheaf — Rita
  Date : 22-10-2025

Kamrul Hasan: The nation has been freed from the grip of autocratic rule due to the leadership, guidance, and farsighted vision of BNP’s Acting Chairman, Desh Nayak Tarique Rahman. A new Bangladesh has begun. To preserve this continuity—ensuring independence, restoring the constitution and democracy, and resolving national crises—there is no alternative to Tarique Rahman. Therefore, for the greater welfare of the country and the nation, BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council Member and Manikganj District BNP Convener, Afroza Khanam Rita, urged everyone to build a united public consensus to defeat all conspiracies and ensure the victory of the Paddy Sheaf. She made this call on Wednesday afternoon while addressing the annual prize-giving ceremony and parents’ gathering at Feroza Ideal High School in Bhadiakhola of Harirampur Upazila, Manikganj. She urged teachers, students, parents, party leaders and activists, supporters, general voters, and local residents to come forward unitedly. The event was presided over by the school’s headmaster, Munir Hossain. District, upazila, union, and ward-level BNP leaders, representatives of affiliated organizations, local dignitaries, teachers, parents, and more than a thousand locals were present at the program. Afroza Khanam Rita said, “The 31-point reform plan announced by Desh Nayak Tarique Rahman is not merely a political pledge—it is the primary force for restoring people’s rights and transforming the nation into a modern, prosperous, and developed state.” She further stated, “Under the farsighted leadership of Tarique Rahman, the movement to restore democracy has gained new momentum. The people are now ready for change. Therefore, ensuring the victory of the Paddy Sheaf is the demand of the time, for the sake of the nation and its citizens.” Speaking at the event, Rita added, “The interim government has announced that the roadmap for the national election will be declared in the first half of February. But a certain group is conspiring to sabotage the election. They are carrying out various acts of violence to endanger democracy.” Calling upon party leaders and activists, she said, “We must build united public consensus against these evil forces. Forgetting all divisions, we must stand shoulder to shoulder to strengthen every tier of the organization—only then can we ensure the victory of the Paddy Sheaf in Manikganj.” At one point in her speech, Afroza Khanam Rita stated, “Manikganj, widely known as a BNP stronghold, holds immense potential for development. To transform this district into a modern and model district, we must follow Tarique Rahman’s development philosophy and political prudence. Only under his leadership can Manikganj become a self-reliant, technology-driven, and citizen-friendly district.” Praying for the swift recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and the good health and long life of Desh Nayak Tarique Rahman, Rita said, “If we move forward in unity, setting aside all differences, it is certainly possible to build the Bangladesh envisioned by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.”
