Samrat gets life imprisonment in arms case

A tribunal has sentenced expelled Jubo League leader Ismail Chowdhury Samrat to life term imprisonment in a Arms Act case.

Dhaka Special Tribunal-2 Judge Md Ibrahim Miah on Tuesday pronounced the judgement in absence of the accused.

As the convict is absconding, an arrest warrant was issued against him, additional public prosecutor Billal Hossain confirmed.
