  Date : 01-11-2025

Bangladesh has acknowledged recent remarks from India’s Ministry of External Affairs regarding the potential visit of a prominent Islamic scholar to Dhaka.

“We have taken note of the remarks made by the spokesperson of Indian Ministry of External Affairs concerning the possible visit of a well-known Islamic scholar or cleric to Bangladesh,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson S M Mahbubul Alam said BSS on Saturday.

Speaking to state news agency BSS, Alam added that Bangladesh maintains a clear stance on cross-border legal matters. “We also believe that no country, including India, should provide shelter to any accused or fugitive individuals from another country,” he said.
