Salahuddin to step down as assistant coach
  Date : 05-11-2025

Bangladesh national team`s senior assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin is set to resign from his post, citing personal reasons.

Salahuddin, who joined BCB on November 5, had an agreement till the 2027 World Cup but decided to step down on personal reasons after completing one year with the national team, according to Cricbuzz.

"Yes, I am resigning," Salahuddin told Cricbuzz on Tuesday without elaborating further.

Salahuddin, who has been overseeing the batting unit ever since BCB decided to part ways with David Hemp, is at the receiving end due to the bad performance of the team recently.

This led to the BCB recently appointing Mohammad Ashrafulas batting coach of the national team for the Ireland series.

Ireland are expected to arrive on November 6 and will play two Tests and a three-match T20I series during their tour. The opening Test is scheduled in Sylhet from November 11-15 while the second Test is slated in Dhaka from November 19-23.
