International Desk: On Tuesday, January 13, at 10:16 PM, China successfully launched a remote sensing satellite named Yaokan-50 01 from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center using a modified Long March-6 rocket. The satellite entered its predetermined orbit in space at the scheduled time.
Yaokan-50 01 will primarily support national land surveys, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation efforts.
This mission marked the 624th flight of the Long March rocket series and China’s first successful orbital launch of 2026.
