Members of the Council of Advisers have begun a week-long nationwide campaign to build public awareness about the upcoming referendum on the July Charter.
According to a press release from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the campaign started on Wednesday (January 15) and will continue until January 21.
Advisers overseeing election monitoring and assistance will visit districts across the country to explain the importance, objectives and procedures of the referendum.
As part of the programme, the advisers will hold discussions with people from various walks of life, including local administration officials and civil society representatives, with the aim of encouraging public participation in the referendum.
On the opening day of the campaign, Local Government Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan is visiting Chattogram, where he is scheduled to take part in several activities, including meetings with relevant officials.
