Expatriate Bangladeshis gather at MUNZ Eid reunion in New Zealand
  Date : 20-04-2026

Special Correspondent: MUNZ organised an Eid reunion in New Zealand, bringing together a large number of expatriate Bangladeshis in a festive atmosphere.

Nearly 1,000 Bangladeshi men, women and children attended the event, making it one of the largest community gatherings in the country.

Leaders from BANZI, the Friendship Society and skill migrant organisations joined senior community members at the programme and delivered remarks.

They emphasised mutual support among expatriates, the practice of moral values, stronger cultural ties and deeper engagement with the younger generation.

MUNZ President Barrister Masud Alam called for unity among Bangladeshis living abroad. He said the community can work together despite political differences or diverse views and can contribute positively to Bangladesh from overseas.

“MUNZ belongs to everyone. We want to work inclusively with people from all backgrounds, opinions and affiliations,” he said.

At the end of the programme, organisers thanked participants, partner organisations and community leaders for their support. They expressed hope that the spirit of unity and welfare among expatriates would continue.
