International: China’s vast market will create greater opportunities and alternative options for the world, said He Lifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of China.

He made the remarks during a meeting in Beijing on Thursday with Stephen A. Schwarzman, Chairman and CEO of Blackstone Group. He added that China remains firmly committed to expanding high-level opening-up and sustaining development.

He Lifeng noted that China’s economy recorded a strong start in the first quarter of this year, reflecting the country’s development capacity and dynamism. He also called on foreign companies, including Blackstone, to further strengthen cooperation with China.

Stephen A. Schwarzman, in response, said Blackstone places great importance on its cooperation with China and is keen to further expand its business in the country. He also expressed the company’s commitment to contributing to stronger economic and trade cooperation between the United States and China.
