Bangladesh Seeks Global Partnerships to Elevate Education Quality
  Date : 28-04-2026

Special Correspondent: The government is actively working to ensure quality education across the country, said Education and Primary & Mass Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Haque Milon during separate meetings with diplomatic representatives from Turkey and Malaysia.

The minister made these remarks on April 27 at his office during courtesy calls by Turkish Ambassador Ramis Sen and Malaysian High Commissioner Mohammad Suhada Othman, each leading their respective delegations.

During the meetings, issues of mutual interest were discussed, with a strong focus on enhancing cooperation in the education sector. The Turkish Ambassador highlighted the long-standing and robust relationship between Bangladesh and Turkey, noting that collaboration spans education, trade, and other sectors. He emphasized that there remains significant potential to further expand ties, particularly through increased academic partnerships between universities and the growth of bilateral trade.

In response, the Education Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the quality of education through comprehensive initiatives. He expressed optimism that enhanced collaboration with countries like Turkey would contribute positively to raising educational standards, especially at the university level.

In a separate meeting with the Malaysian delegation, the minister praised Malaysia’s globally recognized achievements in education. He noted that Bangladesh could benefit from Malaysia’s experience and expertise in this sector.

Malaysian High Commissioner Mohammad Suhada Othman also expressed his country’s interest in strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation, particularly in education.

The meetings underscored Bangladesh’s ongoing efforts to foster international partnerships aimed at advancing its education system and ensuring quality learning outcomes for its citizens.
