Desplomatic Correspondent: In a significant step toward strengthening bilateral engagement, Imran Haider, the High Commissioner, called on Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon, Honourable Minister of Education, on Monday and congratulated him on assuming office.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on education and advanced technology. The exchange highlighted the growing importance of academic collaboration in fostering innovation and mutual development between the two countries.
The High Commissioner briefed the Minister on key initiatives, including the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor and the Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP). These programs offer scholarship opportunities for Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education in specialized fields such as medicine, pharmacy, engineering, biotechnology, business administration, artificial intelligence, computer science, arts, and fashion design at leading institutions in Pakistan.
Both parties expressed optimism about expanding academic linkages and agreed to promote greater collaboration through student exchanges, professional training programs, and sports initiatives. The meeting underscored a shared commitment to deepening people-to-people connections and building long-term partnerships in knowledge and skills development.
