Maulana Sarwar Kamal Azizi Passes Away: Khelafat Majlis Mourns

Special Correspondent: Maulana Sarwar Kamal Azizi, Ameer of Bangladesh Nezame Islam Party, passed away at his residence in Padua, Lohagara upazila, Chattogram (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji`un). He breathed his last around 5:30 pm on Saturday. News of his death cast a pall of grief across political and religious circles. 

Khelafat Majlis Ameer Maulana Abdul Basit Azad and Secretary General Dr. Ahmad Abdul Quader expressed deep condolences over the death of Maulana Sarwar Kamal Azizi. In a joint condolence message, the two leaders recalled the deceased’s illustrious contributions to religious and political spheres and prayed to Almighty Allah for the salvation of his soul. 

In the message, they said Maulana Sarwar Kamal Azizi was a renowned Islamic thinker and a leader of the masses. His passing has created an irreparable void in the country’s Islamic movement. 

The leaders extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family, relatives, and well-wishers, and prayed to Allah the Almighty to grant them patience to bear the loss.
