Tofail Ahmed to be laid to rest in Bhola as per his wish

Veteran politician Tofail Ahmed will be laid to eternal rest at the family graveyard in Bhola following a second funeral prayer after Zuhr on Tuesday.

He will be buried at the family graveyard as per his wish, confirmed relatives and family members.

Bhola District Awami League vice president Hamidur Haque Bahalul Mollah said, "The body will be brought to Bhola on Tuesday for the people from all walks of life to pay their last respects to him. A second funeral will be held at 2PM at the Bhola Government District School grounds.

After the funeral, the body will be taken to his village Koralia for burial.

Tofail Ahmed passed away at around 3:30PM while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in the capital. He had long been suffering from various age-related health complications.

Dr Taslima Ahmed Jaman Munni, only one daughter of Tofail Ahmed, said, "My father spent his entire life in politics for the people. He had a deep compassion for the people of Bhola.``
