(BSS/AFP) - A Russian drone strike killed one woman and injured another in the northeastern Ukraine border region of Sumy, local military officials said on Friday.

"Sadly, a 44-year-old woman was killed in the attack... Another woman, aged 33, sustained serious injuries. Medics are providing the necessary care," the head of the regional military administration Oleg Grygorov said on Telegram.

He said a three-storey non-residential building was also significantly damaged in the strike.
