Khetlal UZ Chhatra Dal condemns fake news published on State Minister for Public Administration
  Date : 16-06-2026

Khet Lal (Joypurhat) Representative: Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal, Khetlal Upazila Branch, has strongly condemned and protested against a news item published in the "Shirsha Kagoj" newspaper involving Joypurhat-2 constituency MP and State Minister for Public Administration and Food Ministry Md. Abdul Bari. The organization has claimed that this news item is completely baseless, fabricated and purposefully fabricated. The protest was announced in a press release signed by Md. Ferdous Rahman Milon, Joint Convener No. 1 of Khetlal Upazila Chhatra Dal, on Tuesday (June 16). The notification states that on June 8, 2026, a report titled `Alleged loot of three thousand crore taka in the name of the State Minister for Food` was published in the 27th issue of the "Shirsha Kagoj" newspaper, which has come to the attention of Khetlal Upazila Chhatra Dal. The allegations made against State Minister for Food Md. Abdul Bari in the news item are completely based on speculation, motivated by malicious intent and are a complete distortion of the truth. The student leaders claim that no legally acceptable or provable information or documents have been presented for any of the allegations made in the report.

Such a sensitive and serious news has been published based only on unverified fictional and fabricated information, which is against the principles and integrity of objective journalism.
The notification further clarified that the project called `Modern Food Storage Facilities` was originally started in 2014 and its term ended in 2023.
However, false and misleading news has been spread by linking the name and photo of the current Minister of State for Food with a project that expired a long time ago (December 2023), which is in no way acceptable. Khetlal Upazila Chhatra Dal believes that this fabricated report has been prepared with the malicious intention of spreading confusion among the public and defaming the State Minister. The organization has expressed strong condemnation and strong anger against this false and untrue report.
