| Special Correspondent: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council Member and Ameer of the party`s Dhaka South unit, Md. Nurul Islam Bulbul, MP, on Friday urged party activists to devote themselves wholeheartedly to what he described as the mission of establishing Islamic values in society and the state. Addressing a day-long advanced workers` training camp organised by the Sutrapur-Kotwali-Gendaria Zone of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in Dhaka, Bulbul said every party worker should consider participation in the movement for the establishment of Deen (Islamic way of life) as the primary purpose of life. He said the party`s members should work to eliminate injustice from society, promote the welfare of humanity, and strive for a social and state system guided by what he described as the principles of Allah`s sovereignty. He called on activists to move forward with strong faith and commitment. Emphasising personal spiritual development, Bulbul urged party workers to study the Holy Quran, Hadith and Islamic literature regularly while performing congregational prayers consistently. He said these practices would help strengthen knowledge, moral character and discipline. He also stressed the importance of working towards what he termed a prayer-based social order. The Jamaat leader further encouraged activists to engage in constant remembrance of Allah and to supplement obligatory acts of worship with voluntary prayers and other devotional practices. Such efforts, he said, would strengthen faith and help believers seek the pleasure of Allah. The training programme was chaired by Kamrul Ahsan Hasan, Director of the Sutrapur-Kotwali-Gendaria Zone and Office Secretary of Jamaat`s Dhaka South unit, while Maulana Nesar Uddin, a member of the zone team, conducted the proceedings. Among those present were Kotwali Thana Ameer Maulana Matiur Rahman, Sutrapur Thana Ameer Daiyan Salehin, Sutrapur East Thana Ameer Noman Sikder, Sutrapur Thana Secretary Sultanur Rahman and Gendaria Thana Secretary Masud Helal Jabbar. Leaders and organisers from various organisational units under the Sutrapur-Kotwali-Gendaria Zone also attended the event. The programme formed part of the party`s organisational training activities aimed at strengthening the ideological understanding and organisational capacity of its grassroots workers.
