Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka illuminated in green to mark Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ Birth anniv

Diplomatic Correspondent: The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka was illuminated in green on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ, observed on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, adding a distinctive spiritual and cultural dimension to the capital’s evening landscape.

The green illumination of the diplomatic mission symbolised reverence and respect for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, whose life and teachings continue to inspire millions of people around the world. The observance of the blessed occasion also reflected the importance attached to the values of peace, compassion, humanity, tolerance and brotherhood associated with the Prophet’s teachings.

The illuminated Pakistan High Commission stood out against the night sky of Dhaka, drawing attention to the significance of the sacred day for Muslims. The occasion is observed with religious devotion in Bangladesh and in many other countries, with people remembering the life, character and message of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

The birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, commonly known as Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, is an important occasion in the Islamic calendar. Religious gatherings, discussions, prayers and programmes are held in different parts of Bangladesh to highlight the Prophet’s exemplary life and his message of justice, kindness, equality and peaceful coexistence.

The green illumination by the Pakistan High Commission also served as a visual expression of the shared cultural and religious sentiments that connect the peoples of Bangladesh and Pakistan.

For people passing through the diplomatic area, the illuminated building offered a striking reminder of the blessed occasion and its enduring significance in the lives of Muslims.

The observance of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal thus brought a message of devotion, peace and humanity to the forefront, underscoring the universal relevance of the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ teachings in today’s world.
