Dhamrai (Dhaka) Correspondent : A woman has filed a General Diary (GD) with Dhamrai Police Station, seeking security for herself and her family after allegedly receiving threats to withdraw a land-related case pending in court.

The incident occurred in Kelia village under Kulla Union of Dhamrai upazila. The complainant, Zulekha Begum, alleged that the accused persons threatened her and her family after obtaining bail from the court on August 18.
According to the GD, on August 23 around 12:30pm, accused Jahirul Islam Darbesh, Saddam Hossain and Razzak allegedly attempted to attack Zulekha’s brother, Iman Ali, with a machete and sticks while he was passing in front of their house.
Zulekha further alleged that the accused later came near her house and threatened to attack the family if the case was not withdrawn within a week.
The GD was filed on August 23 under number 1292. The case, Dhamrai Police Station Case No. 30, dated April 18, 2026, concerns an alleged attempt to forcibly occupy land and is currently pending before the court.
Jahirul Islam Darbesh could not be reached despite several attempts to contact him by phone.
Dhamrai Police Station OC Nazmul Huda said, “The allegation is being investigated. Necessary legal action will be taken after investigation.”
