Diplomatic Correspondent: Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider called on Finance and Planning Adviser Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir today and briefed him on the steady growth in bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance in Dhaka, according to a press release issued by the Pakistan High Commission.
During the meeting, the High Commissioner apprised the Adviser of the decisions taken at the 9th Session of the Joint Economic Commission (JEC) and the progress made so far in implementing those decisions.
The two sides also discussed the scope and potential for enhancing bilateral trade and investments and creating linkages between the respective Boards of Revenue of the two countries.
The Adviser emphasized the importance of dialogue through bilateral and multilateral forums, increased connectivity between businesses and people, promoting supply chain linkages and fostering cultural activities to further strengthen relations.
The meeting underscored the mutual commitment of both countries to deepen economic cooperation and explore new avenues of partnership for shared prosperity.
