Kashmir conference held in Nottingham to mark Kashmir Black Day
  Date : 27-10-2026

MT Desk: Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK organised a Kashmir conference in Nottingham, Britain, to mark Kashmir Black Day, which was attended by a large number of Kashmiris and Pakistanis.

Former Health Minister Dr Nisar Ansar Abdali was the chief guest at the event. Addressing the conference, he condemned India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and its continued oppression and repression of the Kashmiri people, saying that India was committing war crimes in the occupied territory.

The speakers urged the international community to fulfil its responsibilities and press India to end grave human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). They paid tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement and honoured their parents, widows and other family members for their sacrifices.

The speakers also expressed gratitude to Kashmiris living abroad and Pakistanis who stand in solidarity with them, noting that their contributions to Pakistan’s economy and efforts to highlight the Kashmir dispute were equally commendable.

Dr Nisar Ansar Abdali congratulated the organisers on holding a successful conference in support of the Kashmir cause. He also paid tribute to late Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry for his services to the freedom movement and prayed for his forgiveness.
