High Commissioner Imran Haider visits Pakistan Pavilion at Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026
Diplomatic Correspondent: Pakistan has showcased its growing artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and digital innovations at the Bangladesh AI Business Summit 2026 in Dhaka, highlighting fresh opportunities for technology, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider visited the Pakistan Pavilion at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC) on Thursday, where leading Pakistani technology companies are displaying their latest AI-powered solutions, enterprise technologies and digital products.
The summit is jointly organised by Bangladesh`s Ministry of Science and Technology and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), bringing together government representatives, business leaders, technology professionals and young innovators to explore the growing role of AI in business and society.
During his visit, High Commissioner Haider toured the pavilion, interacted with representatives of participating Pakistani companies and observed their technological innovations.
The Pakistan Pavilion has attracted attention for showcasing a range of AI-based solutions and digital products designed to improve efficiency across different sectors, including manufacturing, banking, education and healthcare.
The exhibition reflects Pakistan`s expanding technology sector and its efforts to promote homegrown innovations in international markets. It also offers an opportunity for Pakistani companies to connect with Bangladeshi businesses, potential investors and technology partners.
AI is increasingly transforming the way businesses operate and people live. From helping factories improve production efficiency and banks deliver faster services to supporting students with modern learning tools and assisting doctors in healthcare delivery, the technology is creating new possibilities across society.
For Bangladesh, greater adoption of AI could open up opportunities for young professionals, entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses while strengthening the country`s digital economy.
The participation of Pakistani technology companies in the summit also highlights the potential for closer Bangladesh-Pakistan cooperation in innovation, digital services, technology transfer and investment.
Industry observers believe that technology exhibitions and business platforms can play an important role in building commercial relationships beyond traditional diplomatic engagements. Direct interaction between companies from the two countries could pave the way for joint ventures, knowledge sharing and new business opportunities.
As AI continues to reshape the global economy, collaboration between developing countries is becoming increasingly important to ensure that technological progress benefits businesses and ordinary citizens alike.
The presence of the Pakistan Pavilion at the Dhaka summit has therefore added a new dimension to bilateral engagement, demonstrating how technology and innovation can create common ground for stronger economic relations.
The summit is expected to provide a platform for further exchanges among policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors and technology experts on how AI can be harnessed to promote business growth, improve public services and prepare the next generation for a technology-driven future.
