Md. Tauhidur Rahman, Chitalmari: Chitalmari Officer-in-Charge Mir Shariful Haque has exchanged views with the journalists including the president-general secretary of the newly elected committee of Chitalmari Upazila Press Club in Bagerhat. The meeting was held at the office of the officer-in-charge at 2 pm on Tuesday. President of the newly formed committee of Chitalmari Upazila Press Club Pradeep Mandal, General Secretary Md. Tauhidur Rahman Babu, former President Pankaj Mandal, former General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Safa, Founder General Secretary Shekhar Bhakta were present at the occasion. OC (Investigation) Mohammad Ikram Hossain, Treasurer of Chitalmari Upazila Press Club Mohammad Kamrul Islam, member Hafizur Rahman among others were present at the meeting. At this time, OC Mir Shariful Haque expressed his firm belief to eradicate all kinds of criminal activities including drugs, usury, militancy and eve-teasing from Chitalmari upazila by December 16. He sought the cooperation of journalists in all these activities. In the context of this call, the journalists assured overall cooperation. He also painted a picture of law and order during his tenure of more than one year.
