Regent Group Chairman Shahed walks out of jail on bail in 96 cases

Regent Group Chairman Mohammad Shahed has been released from Dhaka Central Jail on bail in 96 cases.

He walked out of the prison on Wednesday (September 4) night, a reliable jail source confirmed.

Shahed is accused in 96 cases. Of those, he is convicted in the five. He was released on bail in all the cases.

He granted his last bail in an arms case filed with Uttara West Police Station in the capital. The jail authorities verified the bail papers and later, permitted him to release.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested Shahed from Satkhira district on July 15, 2020. After that, various allegations of fraud and irregularities started to come against his name. After that, so many cases have been filed against Shahed and his accomplices.
