An exclusive cocktail menu for the Oscars after-party was unveiled this Tuesday, bringing a unique twist to Hollywood`s most glamorous night.
The drinks, featuring a strong presence of tequila, will be served at the Governors Ball, where stars celebrate their victories or console themselves after a loss.
This year, tequila takes center stage, in celebration of the Mexico-set film ``Emilia Perez``, which is competing for several Academy Awards. The cocktails include "The Clear Winner," a striking drink featuring a block of ice with a white Oscar figurine, bathed in tequila, lime juice, tamarind, and flor de Jamaica tea. Another standout, "Standing Ovation," is a mix of espresso, tequila, fig syrup, and smoked salt water, perfect for those looking to keep the party going. "Class Act" combines tequila with lemon juice, milk, and syrup, while the "Golden Age Gimlet" offers a rosemary-infused Lillet Blanc, apple cordial, syrup, and tequila.
For those avoiding alcohol, "The Thespian" features agave, lime, and mango syrup. Mixologists Charles Joly and Eric Van Beek crafted the drinks as a tribute to cinema, actors, and directors, with a focus on highlighting the flavors of Mexico and showcasing tequila.
Additionally, stars can enjoy Lallier champagne, making its debut at the event this year. Chef Wolfgang Puck, renowned for catering the Oscars for over three decades, will serve a lavish spread of appetizers like smoked salmon statuettes, tuna tartare, mini Wagyu burgers, and more indulgent dishes including chicken pot pie and macaroni and cheese. A selection of more than thirty desserts will be available, and guests can take home solid chocolate statuettes as a sweet souvenir from the night.
The 97th Academy Awards will be held this Sunday in Hollywood.
