China will stand by Bangladesh to protect its sovereignty

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen has called for an impartial investigation into the allegations of terrorism in order to ease tensions between India and Pakistan.

He stated that China will always stand by the truth in such crutial moment and emphasized that his country will support Bangladesh in protecting its sovereignty.

Ambassador Yao Wen made these remarks at a programme held on Thursday (May 8) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh.


He also mentioned that both nations need to work together to calm the situation and reduce tensions.

Additionally,Ambassador Wen announced that the country’s Commerce Minister will be visiting Bangladesh at the end of this month, accompanied by hundreds of businessmen and investors.

"Such a large trade delegation has never visited Bangladesh before, which is expected to further expand trade between the two countries," he claimed.

He highlighted that progress cannot be achieved without stability.

Yao Wen noted that reforms are an internal matter for Bangladesh and expressed that they do not want to comment over the issue in the same way as Western countries.
