BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has emphasized the need for the interim government to ensure accountability.

Speaking at a press conference held at the BNP Chairperson`s office in Gulshan on Saturday (March 22) at 11 am, he stressed that no measures should be taken that could undermine national unity against fascism.

He further stated that reforms and the electoral process can progress simultaneously, but the government must maintain neutrality.

Regarding Tarique Rahman`s return, Mirza Fakhrul said he would return when the time was right.

BNP Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Salahuddin Ahmed, and Iqbal Hossain Mahmud Tuku were also present at the event.
