1,641 Arrested in Special Police Operations

In a 24-hour nationwide special operation, Bangladesh police have arrested a total of 1,641 individuals. 

A statement released by Police Headquarters on Friday (July 18) confirmed the arrests.

The statement detailed that among those arrested, 1,054 were fugitives with existing warrants or cases against them. 

An additional 587 individuals were apprehended in connection with other incidents, bringing the total to 1,641 arrests.

During these operations, law enforcement also recovered one local-made sten gun, one one-shooter gun, eight rounds of cartridges, and two light guns (LGs).

Police Headquarters stated that these special operations will continue.
