The train services of Dhaka with Netrakona`s Mohanganj has been halted for an hour as supporters of nomination deprived BNP leader Tayebur Rahman Hiron took position on Gauripur rail line.

Dhaka-bound Haor Express got stuck at the station as the protesters blocked the rail line around 9:30AM on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) released a preliminary list of candidates for 237 constituencies ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election where Hiron, former upazila chairman and upazila BNP convenor, did not include. Protesting that, Hiron`s followers started protest since morning.
