Abus was set on fire allegedly by miscreants in the Maskanda Bus Stand area of Mymensingh city early Sunday, September 20.
Police said the Shawkhin Paribahan bus, which was parked on the roadside, was torched around 12:15 am.
However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Two firefighting units from the Bangladesh Agricultural University station rushed to the scene after receiving the information and brought the fire under control, said Fire Service official Purna Chandra Mutsuddi.
Police and fire service officials said they were investigating the cause of the fire.
Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model police station Mohammad Shibirul Islam said police went to the scene after being informed of the incident and collected some evidence.
He said police were looking into whether anyone deliberately set the bus on fire and action will be taken accordingly.
