RAB official gunned down in Ctg

A RAB official was gunned down and four others injured seriously at Jungle Salimpur area of Chattogram district on Monday evening.

The deceased was identified as Motaleb, RAB Deputy Assistant Secretary.

According to sources, Jungle Salimpur area, located in Salimpur union of Sitakunda upazila, is designated as a government land but has been almost entirely controlled by groups of miscreants for more than three decades.


Motaleb was killed after miscreants attacked his team with firearms and other arms.

Chattogram Range deputy inspector general of police Md Ahsan Habib Palash confirmed the death and said that law enforcers are often attacked when they enter the area.
