International: On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Chinese President, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, extended festive greetings and sincere congratulations to working people across the country on behalf of the CPC Central Committee.
Xi noted that on the new journey toward “Chinese modernization,” the country’s vast workforce has remained united around the CPC, demonstrating dedication, hard work, and innovation. He praised working people for making significant contributions to the overall development of both the Party and the nation.
Emphasizing the importance of the current year, Xi pointed out that it marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China as well as the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He expressed hope that working people throughout the country would continue to promote the spirit of model workers, uphold the dignity of labor, and strengthen professional and technical excellence. He called on them to serve as a major driving force behind high-quality economic and social development while fulfilling their responsibilities as the true masters of the country.
Xi also instructed CPC committees and governments at all levels to take effective measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of working people. He stressed the importance of addressing the urgent and practical difficulties faced by ordinary citizens in their daily lives and encouraged workers to continue striving tirelessly to realize a brighter future and the nation’s grand vision.
