Hurriyat Marks Anniversary of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos
  Date : 08-05-2026

Special Correspondent: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Hurriyat parties have felicitated the people and government of Pakistan on the first anniversary of the successful Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, terming it a defining moment in Pakistan’s history.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party spokesman, Arshad Iqbal, In a statement issued in Srinagar said the Operation Bunyanum Marsoos not only altered the strategic dynamics of the region but also forced an aggressive and bullying neighbour to retreat after suffering a crushing defeat.

He said the strategic victory, which significantly enhanced Pakistan’s prestige and standing at the global level, was a classic example of national unity, military strength, and resilience in the face of aggression.

‎He said Pakistan’s measured yet decisive response to Indian aggression under Bunyanum Marsoos served as a powerful reminder that the Pakistani nation stands united, resilient, and fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

‎Expressing satisfaction over Pakistan’s growing image as a global peacemaker and trusted mediator, he urged the country’s civil and military leadership to utilise their increasing political and diplomatic influence to help secure an early and amicable settlement of the long-pending Kashmir dispute.

‎Describing Kashmir as the unfinished agenda of the Partition of the subcontinent, he said the unresolved dispute remained the principal cause of recurring bloodshed and instability in the region.

‎Expressing grave concern over India’s “imperialistic presence” in the region, he said nearly a million Indian troops present in the disputed territory pose a serious existential threat to Kashmiris who continue to feel insecure and unsafe in their own homeland.

The DFP spokesman also thanked Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for highlighting the continued human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Chairman Fayyaz Hussain Jafri and the head of Pairwan-e-Wilayat Maulana Syed Sibt Shabbir Qomi in their statements in Srinagar greeted the people and government of Pakistan on the anniversary of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos. They said that Bunyanum Marsoos proved that Pakistan possessed complete capability to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against all forms of aggression.

They also condemned India’s Hindutva-driven regime for using the Pahalgam false-flag operation as a pretext for launching last year’s reckless war against Pakistan. “Under the BJP government, India has emerged as a rogue state with little regard for international law and regional stability,” he added.

They praised Pakistan’s consistent political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris’ just cause and highlighting their plight at international level.
