Documentary Showcase Aims to Deepen China-Serbia Friendship
  Date : 23-05-2026

International: A Chinese documentary exhibition has been inaugurated in Belgrade ahead of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s upcoming visit to China. The event was jointly organized by China Media Group (CMG), Radio Television of Serbia, Serbia’s Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, the Serbian Embassy in China, and the Chinese Cultural Center in Belgrade.

The opening ceremony was attended by Serbian National Assembly Vice President Marina Raguš and Minister of Information and Telecommunications Boris Bratina, who both delivered speeches. Shen Haixiong, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and President of CMG, sent a written message to the event. More than 150 guests attended the অনুষ্ঠান.

In his message, Shen Haixiong said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, efforts to build a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era have become deeper and more practical. He noted that the friendship between the peoples of the two countries has withstood the test of time and gained new vitality through cultural exchanges.

He described the jointly organized documentary exhibition as a concrete step toward implementing the important consensus reached by the two leaders, while also opening a new chapter in strengthening people-to-people connections through cultural cooperation.

Shen further stated that film is a universal artistic language capable of transcending national borders and the limits of time. For the exhibition, CMG specially selected several important documentaries, including Xi Jinping’s Cultural Connections and President Xi’s Letters. According to him, the documentaries will help Serbian audiences gain a deeper understanding of President Xi Jinping’s leadership in China’s modernization process and the efforts of the Chinese people.

He added that CMG is eager to deepen cooperation with Serbian media organizations and friends from various sectors. Through CMG’s global broadcasting network, the organization hopes to showcase the development vitality and cultural appeal of both countries, strengthen bilateral friendship through the artistic language of film, and contribute to building a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era.

Marina Raguš said President Xi Jinping’s vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind, along with his four global initiatives, has presented a positive and far-reaching blueprint for common global development.

She noted that Serbia was the first European country to move forward with China in building a community with a shared future, reflecting the strategic, special, and high-level nature of bilateral relations.

Raguš also expressed hope that Radio Television of Serbia and CMG would continue strengthening cultural exchanges and mutual learning, while further deepening friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
