Golam Mostofa, Sirajganj: The anniversary of the weekly newspaper Chalan Beel Barta was celebrated in Tarash with due enthusiasm and participation from local administration officials, journalists, and distinguished guests.

The event was held on Thursday at the Upazila Public Library Hall Room. Dr. Khairuzzaman Munnu presided over the event. Tarash Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nusrat Jahan was speaking as the chief guest. She highlighted the important role of local newspapers in promoting community development, public awareness, and good governance.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tarash Police Station Md. Habibur Rahman, Agriculture Officer Sharmistha Sengupta, and local dignitaries were also present among others at the event.

The programme was jointly conducted by Chalan Beel Barta Editor Abdur Razzak Raju and Executive Editor Golam Mostafa.

Participants extended their congratulations to the weekly newspaper on its anniversary and expressed hope that it would continue contributing to objective journalism and the development of the Chalan Beel region.
