Faruk Ahmed returned from Dhaka: A general meeting of the Secondary Education Officers Welfare Association was held in the capital on Saturday, with senior education officials and members of the organisation attending.
The meeting took place at 10:00am at the conference hall of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) in Farmgate, Dhaka. The session was chaired by Md Liakat Ali.
During the meeting, members discussed organisational matters and the welfare of secondary education officers. Md Azizul Haque Khokon, the association’s general secretary, was also present.
At the meeting, members unanimously formed a new 21-member executive committee for a two-year term.

Munshi Md Abdul Mannan was elected president of the new committee, while Md Belayet Hossain was elected general secretary.

Md Abdur Rahim, Upazila Secondary Education Officer of Savar, Dhaka, was elected organisational secretary of the association.

The newly formed committee is expected to work for the welfare and professional interests of secondary education officers and to strengthen coordination among officials working in the field of secondary education.

The unanimous formation of the new committee marked an important organisational development for the association, with members expressing their commitment to working collectively for the betterment of secondary education administration in the country.
