Staff Correspondent: The Shariatpur Foundation organised a reception for meritorious students who successfully passed the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in Tongi on Friday.
The programme was held in the afternoon at the auditorium of Haji Said Laboratory School, bringing together successful students, teachers, educationists and community representatives.
Syed Atiq, president of the Shariatpur Foundation and founder of Haji Said Laboratory School, chaired the programme.
Professor Md Wazed Kamal, principal of Keraniganj Government Ispahani Degree College, attended the event as the chief guest.
In their speeches, the guests congratulated the students on their academic achievement and encouraged them to pursue higher education with dedication, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility.
They also stressed the importance of education in building a skilled, ethical and progressive generation capable of contributing to the country`s development.
Head Teacher of Haji Said Laboratory School Md Abdus Salam, noted lawyer Advocate Mohammad Julhas Uddin, Shariatpur Foundation General Secretary Hasan Sharif Khan, and foundation advisers Ali Ahmed Howlader, BM Oliullah, Syed Shahajul Islam, Syed Mamun and Sajjad Nadim Saju attended the programme as special guests.
The organisers expressed hope that such initiatives would encourage students to perform better academically and inspire them to play a constructive role in society.
The reception concluded with recognition and congratulations for the students who achieved success in the 2026 SSC examination.
