India is shouldering responsibility for July massacre, Muslim League leaders say at working committee meeting

Special Correspondent: The tyrannical ruler Sheikh Hasina, who fell from power during the bloody July uprising sparked by public outrage, has fled to India with her accomplices, assuming responsibility for the July Massacre. Due to 17 consecutive years of brutal misrule, the people of Bangladesh have already declared her party banned. By allowing the banned Awami League to establish offices in Delhi and Kolkata, India is effectively taking on the responsibility for the barbaric July genocide orchestrated by fascist Hasina. This deplorable action by India is deteriorating bilateral relations between the two countries and has revealed the ugly truth behind their so-called support during the 1971 Liberation War — that it was driven by self-interest. India has once again proven that it has never protected the interests of the Bangladeshi people; rather, it has always safeguarded the interests of its local agent, the Awami League.

The people are now more convinced than ever that India has assumed the role of eradicating Muslim nationalism and Islamic ideology in this country in exchange for keeping the Awami League in power, turning them into a bloodthirsty monster. The Muslim League leadership strongly demands the immediate shutdown of all Awami League offices opened in India and the arrest and extradition of Sheikh Hasina and her fugitive associates back to Bangladesh.

These remarks were made at the central working committee meeting of Bangladesh Muslim League held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Feni Samiti Auditorium in Paltan, chaired by party president Advocate Mohsin Rashid.

Speakers at the meeting included party Secretary General Kazi Abul Khair, Standing Committee member Akbar Hossain Pathan, Syed Abdul Hannan Noor, Wazir Ali Morol, Maulana Zahirul Anwar, Engr. Gias Uddin, Sheikh E Sabur, M.A. Matin, Maulana Abu Zafar, Vice Presidents Alomgir Chowdhury, Islam Ali, Sintu Chowdhury, Kazi Nazmul Hasan Selim, Maulana Rafiqul Islam, Additional Secretary General Kazi A.A. Kafi, Maksudur Rahman, Barrister Shafiqul Islam, divisional organizing secretaries Principal Hasanuzzaman Masud, Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan, Sabur Khan, Abdul Quddus Molla, Khairul Alam, central leaders Rubel Bin Gaffar, Faisal Chowdhury, Munjurul Islam, Md. Ali Jinnah, Moshior Rahman Kayes, Mohiul Alam Sheli, Captain Anisur Rahman, Kamrul Islam, Khan Raihan, Ansar Ali, Abbas Qadri, Liaquat Ali, and others.

The full quorum of the working committee affirmed that the Muslim League is a democratic party focused on elections. However, uncertainty still looms over the electoral process. Party leaders and activists were instructed to begin preparations nationwide for the revival of Muslim national identity as a precursor to election participation.

Regarding the discussed PR (Proportional Representation) system, the leaders highlighted its most dangerous aspect — that without ensuring the exclusion of fascist and pro-Indian elements from elections, the door would remain open for the rehabilitation of Indian agents. Several important organizational decisions were also adopted at the meeting.
